Default Anyone smell petrol?

Recently when parking up my bike in the garage I have noticed a smell of petrol. Now there's no leaks and I think it might be just the movement of the bike as I push it into the garage - with the toing and froing and the petrol being swished back and forth - Is there an overflow pipe where the smell of the petrol might be coming from?

The bike goes real well and does around 130miles until the amber light starts flashing.

Can someone put my mind at rest please.

My Curvy smells quite strongly of petrol too. I presume it is just the fumes venting off the tank.

I think the vent pipe comes out of the bike beside the right foot peg.

Yeah mine does whiff a bit, but when you stop an engine the carbs tend to get a bit of mix blown back through them as well as bits lost out of the exhaust.
So long as its not pi$$ing out or doing 70 miles to the tank I wouldn't worry about it.

actually I would probably start worrying when I was already on fire, but I'm lazy like that...

Warm engine below fuel tank causing petrol to vaporise. I had the same thing the toher day, g/f was a bit worried but i checked and there was nothing

Then i filled up and spilt petrol all down the side. D'oh!

Check that the filler recess drain pipe isn't rusted through.

It'll let water into the tank, and fuel out.
