Default chinese clocks

Good evening.

I need to replace the extensively damaged clocks on my naked curvy. As many of you know, they're rare as when's teeth...

So I'm thinking of replacing them with a nice little digital unit, the problem is that unless they're from China they cost an arm and a leg (I need something under £50, preferably ~£30-40)

Has anyone had any experience with digital clocks from china? Any opinions? I'm not looking for anything all-singing-all-dancing, I just want something that'll work ananlook relatively good.

Please no "if it's from China it'll break in 2 minutes" or " you buy Chinese, you buy twice" talk, let's not forget that pretty much everything is made there anyway...

Is it not easier to try and get the S clocks to fit? seem to be plenty around for £20 and no doubt easier to fit than a Chinese version

I did consider that seeing as I do have a fully faired curvy to use for parts but they're big and bulky and I don't think they'd look very good. With the Chinese ones I could make a bracket quite easily to fit them to the existing mounts on the frame

Yes, none of them polite enough for a U rated forum.

I fitted some GSXR K1 clocks. Needs a bit of wiring in but they're compact, robust and cheap.

Is the K1 around 1995? I've just had a quick look and they're about £40 and they look quite nice. I'd prefer to get second hand ones off another bike anyway tbh

k1 = 2001... k2 = 2002... k3 = 2003... L0 = 2010... L1 = 2011... L2 = 2012

K1 to k3 were same iirc? Link to one here for £40. Others available are asking between £60 and £100..

If you went for gsxr1000 ones the rev range is better. There are some little circuits to make so the rev counter works, you need a speedo healer too (a late pointy speedo rotor may help get it a lot closer to start with) and the fuel gauge

Thank you. I was looking at clocks off a 95 SRAD.
I've only taken mine up to 9,000 so the rev range isn't really a concern.
Is there anything that's quite a straightforward swap? I'm alright with mechanical things but I hate wiring
