That reminds me of the red arrow toy I had as a kid

Is that your RS? I quite fancy one for my next bike. How do you like it?

It's a nice place, decent food and several interesting planes to look at. It's just a shame about the traffic in Oxford on the way back.
Blimey! A Gnat. I worked on one of them belonging to the Red Arrows back in 74.

picture before Gary's post 5/6/22 7.24 pm. Is that a sculpture of a cyclist with his head down just over the hedge or the real thing?

It is - I love it. The suspension is a little hard, but can be softened. The TFT isn't the best, but perfectly fine. The stock tyres aren't really appropriate for the UK climate, but they're being replaced this year. It has a slightly more aggressive lean than a (naked) SV, but it's far from being a sports bike and I'm comfortable enough on it for long distances. I didn't think I'd use the quick-shifter, but it turns out that I do It's very quick, very agile and a lot of fun.

The other bike is a 1.7L Yamaha V-Max. I managed 57 MPG on the ride, Mark 42 MPG (which matters these days!)

I love my RS. Suspension was hard on mine but seems to have got softer as time progresses. A very light and precise feeling bike that's just sporty enough and a great balance of power for real world road use.

You weren't far from me at AV8.

It did catch my attention when I was looking at the pictures afterwards!

Just a couple of rocks though

The Rest and Be Thankful today. Stunning weather. Got stuck in my leathers though, it was a bit hot!

Must have been a classic car show on. I saw a few near Cupar Angus

Caught a few bugs

Saw these two Superdukes today. Can't decide which model I like more

Also found some new pylons going up near Schiehallion. Probably not that interesting to most, but I'm a sparky so found it quite interesting

The cable was suprisingly light

The scaffold and net is presumably to catch the cable if it falls onto the road! Bit scary to think of, especially since it was live. I could hear it buzzing underneath.
