Default What balaclava?

Since I've fitted autocom into my helmet, I'm in danger of ripping my ears off each time I put it on. Simple answer is to wear a balaclava to keep them tucked it. Went to M'bike shop yesterday but they were £14 and a bit S+M looking.
Whats the best to get? Thinsulate? Silk? proper £14 jobbies?
Looking for ones that have a big hole, dont like a mouth full of material

Dunno about a balaclava but sounds like the head sets not in the right place for the lid or you may need to sculpt the bit where the headset sits. If you really must get a balaclava then you need to look for the thinnest out there as this will be another layer inside the lid and make it feel tight

Trying to avoid modifying the lid, especially as its in big red letters not to do it in the instructions.
Autocom speakers are pretty huge actually, thing 1980's walkman headset ones and double it. Would have thought thay could have made them smaller

Try a car racing type smock, or an army issue thermal one due them being very thin.

A big one will just make you sweat like mad, and worse, stretch the lining in your helmet out.

I use this http://www.completeoutdoors.co.uk/Be...etch-Balaclava it's a Berghaus balaclava. It's not to thick, very comy, and not itchy. I think it's this one. but i bought mine in blacks.

Sounds like a lid not really designed to take the speakers

Mine fit fine but then my lid is designed to accomodate them

I'm with TEC I have 2 lids with them in and they do not interfere with the fit at all, are you 100% sure they are correctly installed?

I wear one of these in the winter months http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/M...&ModelID=30420

It keeps the wind chill off me . I can bring the mouth piece over the nose leaving the mouth free , or over the whole lot , or flip it out the way completely . It has holes in the ear sections so you can hear a bit better as well . A blinding bit of kit and made winter so much more enjoyable last year .
