Default rear brake disc pointy

So my rear brake is surging would it be safe to assume my rotor is warped? I guess the next question is has anyone put an aftermarket disc on and liked it the galfer wave has my eye i have been using the ebc gg organic pads currently that i like but was wondering if anybody else had input on pads and disc.

I have braking Wave rear discs on my bikes, I use the rear brake a lot and I woulnd't say there is any increase in braking performance.
