Default compression

can anyone tell me the correct compression i should be getting in a 99 650?i have white gue on the oil cap so done a compression test to see whats going i was reading 125psi on rear and 120 on front,,someone told me this correct but one manual i was reading said i should be getting 216psi or something,,anyone know ?

Did you have the throttle open or closed? Was it hot or cold? Was it cranking at a good speed or only slowly? Was the other spark plug out?

Manual says
- fully charged battery
- warm engine
- plugs out
- throttle open
- crank for a few seconds

- standard 213psi (1500kPa)
- limit 156psi (1100kPa)
- difference between cyls 28psi max (200kPa)

You'd get those numbers from a good engine and a shut throttle.

engine was cold and throttle closed,,,i will try with a warm engine and open throttle and see what happens
