What a cliche. Anyway, new here, I pick up my SV on Saturday and thought i'd better say hi before hand. I've been riding a year, on the beast that is the Yamaha SRX400

That's it in it's natural habitat.

I've gone for an early SV, a T reg, '99 model in the blue. Which is the exact bike which made me go for my licence. I had to have one, it's stunning.

s'pretty innit?

Anyhoo, it's restricted for the foreseable (at least a year or until I can work out how to take it out)

Anyone got any experiences of the mechanically restricted X model, also i'm going to be doing a fair bit of distance on it so i'm thinking of a double bubble screen, along with a new end can (otherwise, what's the point in the V-Twin?). Also, luggage options, what are they like. I know nothing and all help appreciated.

O

Croeso!

Nice bike. Double bubble is excellent idea, I rate the F. Fabri that was on my curvey.

Luggage is either a top box or soft luggage.

Welcome.
Have to agree that it is a good looking bike (only because it is a Curvey )
Shame about the colour.
Don't think you will be disappointed.

I'm not a top box fan, Think i'll go with a tail pack and small tank bag.

Anyone able to let me know how the 33 bhp restriction will affect it?

Top boxes are a little too "My dad's middleaged crisis friend" for my liking.
