Attempted theft - Beckenham - SV650.org

Hey guys

For anyone in the Beckenham area, keep an eye on you bike as i had mine nearly nicked from outsie my house last night. no lasting damage done but the bent the pin on the ignition barrel and carved a deep groove in the frame so there is no real steering lock on my bike now.

Lucky for me that i had the window open and wasnt quite asleep and heard the alarm go off, lucky for them that i didnt catch the scum.

I think they may have tried earlier in the month when i came out in the morning and the bike was on its side. dont know how they thought they were going to wheel it away with the disk lock on, a van i guess.

So everyone be on the lookout!

Glad that the bike's ok, you don't live far from me and have the same sv as me, i'll deffinately be on the lookout.

heh recently moved, only been there 3 weeks, what a lovely welcome to the area!

At least they didn't get it, but not a nice welcome to the area! Is there anywhere you can chain the bike? I've got several huge Almax chains and my bike is chained to a tree.
