Plans for next year

All the AR stuff, and dreaming of spring, has got me thinking...

I'm planning 2 rideouts for next year. One will be on Saturday 4 April 2009 (that's the weekend before Easter), leaving from Shrewsbury (maybe Telford, I ain't decided yet) and headed for Barmouth via Wem, Whitchurch and Ellesmere in North Shropshire and the Ponderosa, and then back for a cuppa at my house via Meifod (near Welshpool) and Guilsfield (nice corners). I've sort of got a route in mind but it needs riding and timing, too early to publish other than the date and the general direction.

The other is MM2 which was postponed from last year. Probably in the second half of May - 16 or 23 maybe? cos south Shropshire looks very pretty then with oilseed and flax in bloom. Also if we repeated last year's date we'd be too close to the AR.

Rain not a problem. Could do with a minimum number of bikes for each to make it worthwhile for everyone though - say 5. Just a few early thoughts...

Anyone else got anything in mind?

So that's 3 rideouts and a weekend for next year so far for us. And it's not even Xmas

Will plan a few rides for no-one to turn up on and go out on me own

Then going touring with the missus on a possible new purchase of a new toy to accompany the SV (dependant on bonus's), Wales or Scotland as a warmer, then Switzerland again. Then also, a rather drastic and probably impossible trip towards the end of the summer is in the planning stages at the moment. We shall see.

There will be more NW rideouts. Waiting to see when the AR and Ecosse rides are before planning dates.

I am planning a trip to Europe, not sure where yet, depends on other's holiday entitlements.

A trip to Ireland may be on the cards.

Oh and if I have any dollar left over pay my ferry off for IOM TT 2010

My only plan is to actually get out on the bike at least once a month that doesnt included dicing with death on the Elepahnt and Castle roundabout!
