Not really.Any crash bung is better than none,and those would help in a slow or stationary drop,but the best ones are those that bolt through the main engine mounting IMO.

Bolt-through design is the sturdiest. Motosliders makes some, i ordered some but they haven't arrived yet. Will tell you how they look when they come in.

If they're not designed with lowers in mind you may have to do a little slicing and dicing.
