Several glasses of red wine and some kind of mint liqueur that The Monkey had in her drinks cupboard and I now feel fine...

Glad you're feeling better too LP.

Seconded for night nurse. I've now inherited a cold from my son in law. Lots of soggy tissues predicted.

Pension safeguarding calls. Wasting hours of my life just to cover the arses of the Trustees of various pensions. Sorting out pensions is almost a full time job. Just lost another hour of life to answering a barrage of inane questions and I have a horrible feeling there will be another call after this! All I'm trying to do is transfer all my pensions into a single pot. This particular transfer has been processing over five months now and there will be another ten weeks delay for another 'safeguarding' call if required!

Luckily all my other pension pots are now transferred, so getting an income is not impacted. If this was my only pension I'd be screwed.

Many, many moons ago I transferred my first company pension into my then current one. The hoo har even then was maddening. These days my IFA gets me to sign a power of attorney specific to the old pension account and he does it all. He's in the process of transferring my now deferred pot from the employer I TUPE'd out of in Oct to my personal draw down pot. He takes fees from this but it's well worth the lack of hassle and the managed funds they go into (usually) outperform anything the overly cautious schemes the company pension providers offer so I'm better off in the end.

Back from the docs this evening armed with a box of antibiotics. I seem to have acquired a kidney infection. Painful enough to have woken me at 3.30am the last two nights. Goodness knows how I managed to pick that up.

That's very odd Gary. I'm wondering how you got that too. Wishing you a swift recovery.

GWS Gary. Sounds jolly unpleasant if it's waking you up like that.

Just found a Reform leaflet left in my porch yesterday. It's a pity I didn't meet the person who left it. I'll be nipping out later to cut down a few flags too.
