Hi,
Just wondering what your opinions are on the best tyres for an SV650s. I had BT014s previously but didnt find them very confidence inspiring. Am now considering Pirelli Diablos or Avon supersports. What do you think? Thanks |

Personally I reckon that Roadtecs give you as much grip as you can safely use on the road... Plus, they work better in cold conditions than stickier tyres, and warm up faster.

You can't beat OEM rubber
![]() I ran a while with Z3's and they were good enough for what I wanted, I've heard mixed reports about the 014's I think mostly down to the profile. Roadtecs have a good report. BT56's I had were shocking, I've got a set of sportec's on but not had chance to ride yet ![]() Didn't rictus do a roadtec/avon comp or sommat? ste

Personally I think the best tyres in the known universe.....
...Are found in the "Tyres" section of the forum where this is discussed at length. There is no such thing as a "best" tyre unless you quantify it, for some best can be: most milage best grip in the wet best grip on the race track cheapest softest ride You appear to be after something sticky but for everyday / sunday blats only etc?

![]() Yeah, something for more "spirited" road riding and the odd track day. Am not too bothered about how many miles I get out of them. |

I had the same requirements. There is a handy chart to help you compare different makes in tyres section.
