I prefer running outside too, but living in a city sucks ass for that, especially in winter! mmmmmmmmm diesel.....

Full membership is £55/month, thats all in, any time, and club in the country with no contract. It's a fair whack if you don't use it, but I'm managing 5-6 times a week at the mo. Fitness first was rotten, I couldn't get motivated in there, David LLoyd is brilliant

They're introducing a technogym system next month - a small rfid chip that registers with the machine and sets it up with the details of your last workout. You can then access all this data to see how you're doing as well as not having to remember your setting! man I'm a nerd

Well done g2d!!

Sarah - we even have those pesky hills here in Shrewsbury. Horrid to start with but you soon get very very fit.

Does anyone on here use a Garmin. Should I buy a 305 or is it simply a toy?

Well done all u running lot. When I was at school we had an amazing x-country course, I got up to doing 5miles 3x a week and everyday during exams to keep my stress levels down. Havent run for years, just about to buy myself a pair of lush new running shoes and get back to it, miss the solitude and the brilliant feeling of acheievement. Not to mention being able to walk places without sweating!

Haha - no way! I went to uni in Falmouth and at the beginning of my first year, was finishing off my marathon training as well so I know those hills well......
