We're coming up to a forecast deadline at work and way too many people are panicking and changing their minds on how they want their area to look. Yeah no worries, I'll drop everything and rework the whole thing for you. Again... [interpretation - I warned you about this four weeks ago].
Four more working days days left to go until I get 11 days off. So fed up now.

Just made a pot of tea and a sandwich when the doorbell rang. A chap with a truck full of woodchip for me had arrived. We pulled it out onto a tarp in the road outside my house, which meant I had to get it moved. In the rain. I came back in an hour and a half later to a cold, stewed pot of tea and a dried up sandwich. I'm now wet and cold, but at least all the paths in the front and back gardens have a thick covering of fresh woodchip.
Time for a hot shower, dry clothes, and then dinner.

I've found a new use for my drain cleaning rods. With a small l-shaped bracket taped to the end of one I managed to scrape all the moss and rubbish from the valley where one pitch of my garage roof and the wall of the house meet. Daft feature that collects debris I cannot reach and when it gets bad it allows rain water to back up and seep into the garage.
Did the rest of the gutters while I had the ladder out which means my back and glutes are now killing me...

Morning all. Grey and mizzly here today, but the upside is that today is the shortest day, and by next Saturday the day will be 6 minutes longer than today. The light returns!

Thought about heading down to Stonehenge to see the sun come up on the Solstice this morning. Then turned over and went back to sleep
![]() Very soggy in the garden today but very mild and (so far) no rain, so it's a good day to do an oil change on the lawn mower.

Evening all. Going to be a long day tomorrow I think. I'm driving to Caerdydd to collect daughter Eleri, then driving back here with her via Shrewsbury to drop off some of her stuff there. Hope the traffic isn't too ridiculous.

All finished for Christmas. Yay.
I have quite a few miles to do tomorrow too so fingers crossed the traffic is kind to all of us!
