Advice Needed Please?????
Hi All,
As there seems to be very little interest in my SV650 (2000 Curvy Unfaired) I have decided to keep it but to try and give it a new look, So.... Can anyone tell me if the pointy subframe/rear plastics/pillion seat/undertray can be fitted to my curvy and if so how many mods need to be made??? Just wanna try and get a new, sharper look. Cheers in advance. x |

Re: Adivce Needed Please?????
That's what I need to know, if I can get away with just changing the plastics rather than having to mess around with a new sub frame. cheers x

Re: Adivce Needed Please?????
Alas it is true, I want to go to the dark side. Hehe.
I'll be honest here guys... I love my SV but the bike I wanted when I brougt the SV was something in the shape of a Gixxer or ZX6R, unfortunately a few years back some @!*t knocked me of my pushbike and completly shattered my right leg (it actually split my shin bone clean down the middle!) broke my left leg, damaged my right shoulder, fractured my right wrist and I had a nasty bump on the noggin! This lovely mixture of injuries and the shiny metal plates I now have in my leg means I will NEVER be able to ride a sportsbike because of the riding position. The SV has the perfect riding position for me so if ANYONE can help in the way of advice or parts to give my curvy a new sporty look it would very very very very much appreciated! Sorry to waffle....just wanted to explain my reasons for wanting to go to the dark side! TA X |

Re: Adivce Needed Please?????
I've seen K5 GSXR Thou fairings fitted to a pointy SV, I think SV650Racer did her race bike like that... personally I think that'll look better than pointy plastics on a curvey frame.

Re: Adivce Needed Please?????
Id just hang about and wait on the sale, the market will be just warming up now and March/April time is a good time to sell. You'd probably end up spending more trying to get the bike to look like something else than the cost of say buying a pointy.
