The 160 on mine looked fatter than the norm. fatter than the 160 supercorsa on it now.
The rear one I've jsut taken off is nearly done, maybe 1.5mm left on it, but it still gripped and handles really well, good enough that my last jaunt down into wales took the chicken strip down to meybe 5mm. It's done around 7000 miles, which isn't to be sniffed at for a rear thats done mostly commuting.

Well after this weekend NW3 run out, the Storms are ace. Rock solid in torrential rain. In the dry grip like a sticky thing on a sticky thing and when they let go, hook up again with no drama. Well happy with these!

so they are good in the wet, what about the dry?? after my 0-15 shocking performance in the wet i am tempted by these as long as they are good ans sticky in the dry as well, either that ot a set of their Viper sport ones

Ask the rest of the crew, especially Jamessunhill as he was following close all that afternoon....... Was a small group after Sunday lunch and we gave it some stick. Basically as much tyre as I need I think, make up your own mind about how much that is (you've seen me ride).

Thumbs up for the Avon Storms from me too.
After the rubbish I had for tyres, I could feel a remarkable difference in the Avons. ![]() |

Neio they're as good in the dry as they are in the wet.
The storms do exactly what they say on the tin....sports/touring tyre....you feel like your riding on rails, they don't take too long to warm up either, once stuck they stick like sticky flies on fly paper. Granted the Azaros on Suze were the ones before the storms, but even with my naff riding, they kept me on the road. However i do have the storms on the black bike, and...................gawd I sound like a tyre saleswoman,,,lol

All.......quick question, what do you think will last longer.....the Storms or Z6's?
As some may know from NW I am on my stock tyres and have got to 6000 miles. I commute daily 20 miles each way but its all lovely A38 twisties.....so I think can probably puch another 1500 out of the stocks. But, what with the summer and the AR coming up I am saving and looking now.

I've had 7k, mostly commuting out of a rear. It's still got life in it yet, and still handles really well.

Thats good to know. Think I will go with the Avons as not only does everyone rate them but like the fact they have a guarantee on them at the start. When I started riding had a puncture in the first 1500 miles.
