Default suzuki insurance!

well its time for me to re-new my insurance policy on the SV. wasnt looking forward to it, i've been riding 1 year, 1 year NCB, but have to report 1 accident (not at fault) and i'm only 22. had 1 years free comp insurance with the bike, wasnt sure what to expect but was thinking anywhere up to £500! the re-newal quote came through at £470 but after asking i got it down to £350 fully comp! very happy with whoever suzuki use as there insurance broker!!!

Suzuki own Express Insurance.

My Honda XR 125 was insured with Express Insurance and when I bought my SV back in May I was advised Express Insurance was also Suzuki Insurance - They use a different name when insuring non-Suzuki's.

Did Suzuki contact you or another company? My free insurance is due to expire next month and I've had a letter from another company (in Birmingham, can't remember the name) but it didnt mention Suzuki on it, yet they knew my registration number. I've not replied to them because their letter mentioned an "arragement fee" of up to £100 - bugger that I can do my own internet search for insurance.

i got a letter from 'suzuki insurance' but as you say they are express insurance. but i think they are just a broker as they said its through the same company as last years cover. i'm pretty happy though as i think its a fairly cheap quote for someone who's probably seen as high risk!

also try www.thebikeinsurer.co.uk

They sorted me out in my first year of riding,
22 years old
£380 Fully comp
£250 excess
Only just passed my test
never riden a bike previously
No Previous claims
No Previous convictions
Bike Garage
5000 miles a year (although they never asked present mileage)
SD&P + Commuting
Pillion cover
Helmet & Leather Cover
Legal Cover
+ EVERYTHING

I did an online qoute and they rang me and beat the online qoute by abut £100.

I have just done a qoute on there for when mine is due again and it came to £300 FC with 1 years NCD. I hope they will ring up and reduce that somemore and I will be very happy.

OK Thanks - I was just after whether it was Suzuki or another company that contacted you. I only took out the free insurance because the dealer wouldnt give me anything for not taking it... well that plus it was 1 phone call using their phone & everything was sorted there & then.

I'll have a scoot round on the internet tonight for some quotes but at 43 with 26 years no-claims it's not going to cost the earth to insure me - lol. See, I knew there had to be some benefit to being older.. well at least 1 benefit.

I'm with Express, was the cheapest quote of many.

Please don't anybody say, "you should have tried these folk they are always cheaper" as I did a search on here and tried all the ones that have been metioned before. The cheapest quote can come from any insurance company who just happen to view your personal circumstances as lower risk.
