Got the new bike today

And I'm in love. Rode the 90 miles home from Dumfries with a big silly grin on my face, after a couple of clutch mistakes it was fabulous

. What a difference compared to the VN900 on cornering, speed, everything. Feel like I can actually ride again- was losing confidence cos the VN was too big.

One thing - the guy in the bike shop said I didn't need to run it in cos it's restricted(33bhp) I didn't go above 6000 revs anyway, is there anything else I should be doing? He also said I should get 80mph out of it, and I got 96 easy before I eased off, and it felt like it had more too!

That's a new one on me but these guys seem to know - linky - and the Org thinking would seem to be "Oh yes you do!"

Ta Tiger- should be ok though as I haven't had throttle open all the way and will not for the foreseeable!

In bed with hellish stomach bug so haven't even managed out to the garage to look at the damn thing, never mind take pics, but I will asap.

I was told the same when buying my sv, but then he said, "I personally would run it in anyway just incase, to get a better life out of the engine."

He never knew the bike wouldn't make it to 2 years old now did he.
