Exclamation If there's one thing you do this year...

Sign up to become an organ donor. You won't need them should the worst happen.

Cheers,

I imagine due to the lack of response that other people probably want to keep hold of their organs aswell, but just dont want to say it.

But I have to be honest and controversial.......its my preference but I want to be buried/cremated as a whole when I die.

One thing I hate the thought of is something like my liver going to some idiot like George Best, who would then continue to drink and smoke despite being given a second chance. My main reason is the being buried as a whole thing.

I'm however giving my blood again this week as a van has been arranged to come to my place of work.

I hadn't responded cos I was fully engaged in the God thread, and being a typical man, can only think of one thing at once

I'm on the register and they can take whatever they want of me. I won't need any of it.

I think they're fairly careful about not giving livers to alcoholics. Even if they aren't, everyone deserves a second chance.

Particularly important the bikers do this in a morbid kind of way. Suitable donors these days are hard to find, all the fit young healthy people who used to die in car crashes end up surviving these days thanks to airbags, seat belts and 12 different kinds of crumple zone. Organs out of a 90 year old who dies of old age are no good to anyone.

Apologies for the morbid nature, but donation, almost always involves someone else dying so it's kind of a morbid thread to begin with.

And yep, have been carrying a card for over 15 years now, and they're running out of organs they can have, I've already ruined my lungs and liver...

I will be in death as I am in life, working from the same basis of.....take me,take me!

The thought of saving another life just by my own passing is quite warming. Happy to be a donor.

I am already. I signed it when I got my driving licence at 17....just make sure you tell someone those cloest to you need to you wishes and feelings on the matter!

Come on people sign up, really sign up, I know for fact if you had a body part that would save my life and your dead I'm gonna wanting that if it matches my body, it would be the same for all us.

To be honest your dead, you don't need those organs anymore. I watched an Post Morten back in June, hmm was interesting to watch. I studied biology so seeing it happen was cool. Though not something I want to see again I couldn't do it for a job, its the part of getting you ready for dead people.

I found a dead person a few weeks back, was strange not seen to many of them yet, which I'm thankful for,
