Default GSXR fork oil

I've some SRAD gixxer forks to put on my curvy, they're the RWU ones from the 600.

How do you go about changing the oil in them? Anyone know what grade to use?

Remove front wheel, lift front end, loosen caps (make sure fronts unloaded or if you loosen the caps too much springs will launch themselves around the garage), undo the pinch bolts top yoke etc.... the take the fork out and drain. Job done, I was told to use 10 weight when I serviced mine, I'll have too look at the fill volumes though. Either that or just put in the same amount as what comes out. To be honest it's probably never been changed (most people don't ) so it's probably worth giving them a full service, the sliders inside mine had worn away to begger all.

I've got an owners manual I pulled off a site on the pc at home, I'll have a look later.

Just like the SV then, cool.

They;re not on the bike at the moment, which does simplify things a fair bit

Finally found the link for the manuals;

http://www.repairmanualclub.com/

These have a load of manuals on and registration is free (no spam off them either) Only downfall is the 24hr download limit.

Yeah I know I'm useless (only took me a few days to post)

HTH
