Default temporary traffic lights ?

Right there are some by me, i was down bottom of road and saw on green so i sped up just a little bit to bout 40, the lights changed quickly from green to red and i went through on red about 1 second after it changed, will i get prosecuted for that?

I hope not cause if there is points involved thats my license gone

Was there a camera on them? If so was it forward facing? As if it is you'll be fine.

Whats the speed limit on the road?

In theory you should be going slow enough so that you can stop safely, should the lights go red.

Its only 3 points anyway...you should have 6 to play with....or have you been a naughty boy?

At the end of the day i wouldn't worry about it, unless you receive a letter in the post.

You'll only get an NIP if a camera caught your plate.

I've never seen a red light Gatso at temp. ATS.

If a cop was there, you would have been stopped there and then.

I always think about how long ATS have been on green. If I haven't seen it phase from red to green, I always expect it to change soon and slow. If I have seen it phase from red and I am reasonably close, I don't expect it to change again and continue as normal. Just being defensive.

IIRC ljharmitt is a fairly new rider, but lets not forget the 2 year rule applies to your first licence.

So if you've been driving a car for more than 2 years, then you have 12 points to play with, if not, it could be 6 only.

I don't think there will of been any camera's attached to those temp lights though.
