Default Buy new or s/hand SV

Ok here it is,I am hopefully getting a cheque soon from the insurance Co. 3k'ish.
Should I....
(a) add money to it and get another new SV,which will have a free restrictor that I need.{Originaly got it for this reason and the 0% finance.}
Or
(b) Look down the line of a second hand SV or other bike.Bearing in mind the s/hand bikes are a bit more expensive over here and not as good of a selection.
If I was going new it would probably be a pre-reg 07 k6 with 0 miles £3999'ish.
Also been of work for 4-6 weeks will mean i will just be putting down a deposit on the new bike till i gather back some funds.

Buy a used one on the mainland and ride it home. I bought my Gixer Thou in Belfast because bigger bikes are cheaper over there.

Save the insurance money, save some more up yourself, wait until your restriction period is up and buy one then without a restrictor or an SS600?

A restrictor is like $40 (from me if you want) so don't let that sway you.

6mts old ones seem to be only 2-3 hundred pounds cheaper with miles 1-2k. By the time I travel over take time off work it would work out the same price as a pre-reg 0mile one over here.

Get a second hand, low milage SV. It'll do the same things as a new SV, and you wont have to run it in.

And you then get the option of getting a curvy model

Why would anyone want to voluntarily take a backwards step?

Buying a curvy is like giving up a nymphomaniac supermodel girlfriend who keeps you in beer and fags to go out with Waynetta Slobb.

And whats wrong with Ms Slobb?
As for the bike get an old one to tide you over until you are not restricted then buy what you really want.
Oh and new is always expensive.Check out depreciation stats to see what I mean.
