I have and SV K3 S model. It is possible to clean the inside of the headlamp lenses?
If so, I guess the whole top fairing has to come off? If the fairing does have to come off, will I regret it when it comes to trying to fit it back on? Thanks Tim. |

headlights are one unit, you can't open them as they are not only clipped together but have a very sticky black mastic stuff as well, the only way would be a stick or something with a bit of rag on it threw the bulb holes?
Have to ask, how did you get it dirty in there anyway ![]() Cheers Mark.

![]() quote] I don't know. I'ts not dirt as such buch looks like a liquid has dried and left marks. I first noticed it last winter and it seems to have got worse. Just thought that next time I give it a major clean I would do this as well. Tim. |

Sounds like condensation, possible dirty condensation too if it leaves a real obvious mark. Unfortunately the headlights are a sealed unit on both curvy and pointy SV's.

only way i can think of is to take the unit off, get a pointy stick, tie a CLEAN rag to the end and through the bulb holes... not ideal though and make sure it is a CLEAN rag, else you will end up with more gunk in there then you started with...
