Gave it a rub down about 3 weeks ago, I run the scottoiler quite high which helps quite a lot. It's probably best to give it a decent scrub up every now and then to get rid of the grit....

Every other week for me, but then the Curvy gets a thorough clean every other week too. Some people never bother.

I did it over the Christmas period as the bike had been sat for some time and the chain surface was looking a little rusty. It keeps its self good normally by having the Scotoiler fitted and my constant riding.

Last week. Took chain & rear sprocket off and gave them a good clean after servicing the bike, they look almost brand new!

I clean mine at least twice a season if not more. Usually do it with each oil change. Get right in there with the cleaner and a toothbrush to get all the gunk off the sprocket and chain, then oil'er up again. I usually spray the chain down after each good ride to keep it slick (every week or so). I don't have a scottoiler fitted.
