My Sliver SV650s 2002 curvy has just gone through it's winter refurb, usual things like polishing the forks etc. Got some heli bars through Ebay, as my puny wrists didn't like the standard bars.
But with the double bubble screen I had fitted as well, I found that the kill switch got caught by the lower edge of the screen after fitting the heli bars. Which apart from failing on the MOT, isn't too good for my life expectancy. Of course I could lower and bring the heli bars back, but lowering them negates the whole point of buying the helibars in the first place. I refitted a clear flip screen, which doesn't foul the kill switch, but I wanted a dark or tinted double bubble for the look I was trying to acheive and improve the windblast over a standard screen. Anybody had the same experience with heli bars and got any suggestions? |
