service price ?

Heya guys booking my curvey in for its 15 thou service next week. i need two new tyres as well, my local bike shop, also where i got the bike have quoted my 550 for two Dunlop 208 fitted, ballenced and disposal of the old ones and the service. i know the 15 thou isnt cheap as i understand it bit of a night mare? just wondering wha you think? is that bout right?

i know they arent cheap but i always felt safe with them when they do the work, i got my rs there and they did look after me with that.

Sounds expensive to me!

The 15k service will cost a few hundred but the 208s are a pretty **** tyre compared to other options.

I would not pay more than £500 for everything, including some good tyres. Personally i would try and push the price down closer to £400.

15k service just been done here 3.5 hours labour plus parts came to 300, really wanted to try further afield but been down with a chest infection for 2 weeks and couldnt travel to coast.

so 250 for thise tyres fitted....erg, maybe get the service done and the tyres at a diff place!

buy the Michlein tyres from busters and see how much it is to get them fitted. £113 for the rubber and about £30 for them both fitted and about £300 for the service (at the most)

130 for the tyres
20 to fit tyres

all aprox prices, get tyres off the net

Varaedo 10 for the Busters 10% discount. BTW hovis i was quoted ?20 for a tyre balanced and fitted is that expensive? (Cwmbran Motorcycles)

Usually fitted/balanced is about £10, but £20 seems about right if you don't buy the tyres from the fitter.

its not cheap, but not too bad,

i think i pay 7.50 if i just take the wheel, or 12 if i take the bike
