just got this email...
"Dear hovis This email confirms that you have received a Pending eCheque Instant Purchase Payment for 71.87 GBP from ***********(*********@hotmail.co.uk). This eCheque payment will remain 'Uncleared' until the funds have cleared from the sender's account, which usually takes four working days. If you are shipping an item, please do not ship your item until the funds have cleared into your PayPal account. You will be notified by email when the funds have cleared into your PayPal balance." i thought paypall was instant? |

Paypal is instant usually when funded by Debit/Credit card or Direct Debit or Paypal balance.
Your buyer has chosen to fund by eCheque which takes 10 days - so you'll need to wait that long. You'd best tell your buyer. LP I think you must be choosing the wrong option. Why did you choose eCheque? ![]() |

Basically it happened to me because my "Backup" card (credit card or debit card) had expired so they fell back to eCheques. To fix this just add a credit/debit card to your paypal account. It will still use Direct Debit for transactions with your backup card just acting as a guarantee Still think that PayPal is a PoS tho.

Thanks SK, will do that. What is a PoS in this context? (I doubt it is Point of Sale!)

Had something similar earlier in the year, i paid for an item using paypal but the bloke hadn't sent it within a week so i meessaged him asking why, he replied "i'm waiting for your e-cheque to clear, I then realised i hadn't updated my new card as the old one had expired.
