I've ordered some ebc pads online and I've gone for the HH sintered jobbies.
Is their cold stopping power the same as std ones or do they need to warm up to work properly. I realise they'll be better once warm than std, but do you lose any braking power when cold? PS using std discs and loads of life in them yet. Ordered pads for front and back even though rears are ok so I've got the same all round |

I used to use the EBC HH sintered pads on my GSXR race bike and they were just as good in to the first corner on the first lap as they were at the end of the races.
Not really much point in putting HH in the rear though, if you are braking hard enough with the front the real wheel should be just off th eground, or at least very light. Any rear brake usage will cause the rear to lock and the chain to clatter on the swingarm. I only use the rear when it's wet and slippery. |

Don't sintered pads eat discs?

I found EBC HH glazed pretty easy on the track and I found them unkind to discs!!
![]() As for cold performance, they are not carbon based, so cold performance isn't a problem ... its only the carbon based ones that are very temperature sensitive ![]() |

cool, I was worried I'd 'over braked' for my level of riding.(tottering through the hertfordshire countryside)
