Default Which Brake pads?

Ok any suggestions as to which front brake pads I should buy?
Think there's a brand which you feel gives superior braking?

There's a dealer here selling 'BRAKING' pads which he says are good.
There's another dealer selling 'Ferrodo' and said that unsintered pads work better in our hot climate.
Many people here on this site seem to like EBC HH, do they work well on standard disks?

I am not sure what to go for.

I like and have EBC HH's, don't believe the rubbish when people say they eat discs its mostly down to knackered discs than the pads! I have never had a set of EBC's eat through discs!

I've just brought EBC organic (kevlar) pads, on recommendation from baph. Having fitted them, I can say that they are very good pads! Better feel, more power than the stock pads in there previously.

EBC HH pads are also said to be pretty good, i think the organic ones i got where cheaper though (i ordered from brakes4u.com....or was it .co.uk?)

Organics are less hard, fine for commuting and general road riding (got one on my back brake), where as the HH are harder, and better for scratching and trackdays as they are less prone to fade I believe. I am no expert, but find the EBC HH pads up front great on trackdays, looking forward to my next one on Monday as I've just had braided hoses fitted, so no more 7yr old brake fluid

I like one finger stopping and use the bike for quick commuting mainly. Do I need orgainic or HH? Runs normally are less than an hour long so brake fade shouldn't be an issue.

HH is stronger than organic. HH does definately wear discs faster than some pads, but that's because they generate more friction- that's their job

I always used EBC HH in the SV calipers, they work well. I've become a bit of a carbon lorraine convert since but I've never used those with stock calipers so can't comment.

I have the HH pads on both ends of my curvy.

I find that they tend to bite much harder when the bike is doing high speeds (really notice the improvement at 70mph). I've heard that they work better at high temperature (ie need warming up)- so I guess they heat up real quick when the discs are spinning faster!!!

I don't notice the improvement quite as much at low speeds (below 30)- only got them on the front in January. Again, they seem to need a little warming up...

Standard pads that came with my pointy I found to be poor and fitted some HH sintered pads. I thought these were great with improved bite and less fade however they are a lot noisier than standard pads due to the greater friction. I ve since fitted EBC organics and found these to be fine for road use, not as much bite as the HH's but a definate improvement on the standard pads.
