Default Fuel Prices - again

I have just about come to accept the fact that things aren't gonna get better for a while at least.

It just keeps going up and my wages don't. Sooner or later its gonna come to the stage where people will be forced to cycle and use public transport (as long as prices don't shoot up on that too much). I have already started walking the 4.5 mile journey to work 2 days a week, then blagging a lift home from one of the bosses who get their petrol paid for

Who else has given up signing, petitions, bothering complaing etc?

Is it ever gonna come back down?

If it were going to the whole country would have to agree to something, like a slow moving convoy all go on strike or something pretty similar, and have to stick to it strictly. Surely, they'd have to reduce the price. Or if some clever sod could postpone the construction of any 2012 olympic facilities until petrol is cheaper that'd be pretty impressive.

Well look at it along these lines. There was supposed to be a day last month, I think a Sunday (a hot one) where nobody should fill up as a countrywide strike. A hot Sunday means one thing to a biker, playtime so you can count out all bikers that woulda gone out on that day, and to be honest it didn't work. There were loadsa cars filling up throughout the day.

im afraid its going to get worse before it gets better, much worse

i work in the motor trade and its slowed up to a crawl cos people are so skint and im told on good authority to expect 1.50 a litre by september!!! i only wish the source was less reliable oon these things.

im afraid the demand from the far east and India (who have no oil of their own) is only going to increase over the next few years making things worse for all of us whilst opec will control supply at just the correct speed to keep demand high and prices up.

basically its all supply and demand and unfortunatly we have no influence over the opec countrys so they can do whatever they want

its not the demand increase at all, its **** investor and comodity investors choosing to use oil as an inestment pushing the price up.

The government shoul call these peeps in and tell them unless they want to live till Xmas they will stop t. That is what i would do, same wit the oil company owners, a bit of a threat that M16 willl pay them a visit unless they pack it in would work wonders i reckon!!

FUEL PROTEST DAY 22ND JUNE.....its a SUNDAY
http://www.google.co.uk/search?sourc...test+22nd+june

nope, things aren't getting any easier, and, when you've had a wage cut of 200 quid a month and your tax credits have halved because its all calculated on the previous years earnings, it makes your blood boil

I have to keep a roof over my sons head on my own, pay the mortgage, pay ctax, utility bills etc etc. Just the same as any one else, but i have nobody to share it all with and right now I feel like sitting with everyone else on that sunday and skiving work!!!!

They're responsible for the food prices too. The ones in their London penthouses are the ones responsible for adding to the starvation throughout the worlds poor.

But Opec can produce more barrels of oil to increase the supply to reduce the cost of crude (which has tripled in less than two years!) but its not in their interest to do that.

the government is raping us for fuel duty too but its the increase in crude cost thats driving up the cost at the pump not increasing duty.

ps. we are still not the most expensive country in europe for unleaded, actually we are only tenth, (second for diseasel though)

The only problem with the rise in oil prices is our technology requires we use it. There will be a many years yet before alternatives become mainstream but so long as prices go up then it will be a bigger push for these to come through. Then we will be happy as the prices will fall once again, no more stupid wars, and things will be better for the environment. How long though - I suspect towards the end of my lifetime and too long for all of us.
