Default Paint Codes and where to find them

Can any one help me, i'm in the process of aquiring a set of lower fairings for my curvy 2001 SV650S however I'm struggling to find the paint code or even the location where it would be.

My bike is black in colour from the factory so any help will be greatly appreciated

Theres two places to look.

In the little service booklet if you have it, where all the service stamps are. Inside the front cover is a pink sticker, paint code is printed on that.

Failing that, normally theres a sticker on the underside of the full tank so unbolt the bolts by the yoke and lift the tank up and you should be able to see it.

'Y7L' I believe is the colour, as mentioned above it will be on the stciker under the tank (white paper sticker towards the back near the hinge) and in the service booklet on the sticker on page 1. Some owners have it on the V5 too, I have 'Yellow (Y9F)' written as the colour on both my V5's.
