New (I think) speed camera on M40/A40 Londonbound

Only recently noticed it. Just after the M40 turns into the A40 before the Ruislip/Hayes turn off (Polish War Memorial) Londonbound there is a new tall type digital camera here. It's not far from where the speed limit drops from 70 to 50. No lines on the road yet but I'm not sure these type need them (Anyone in the know feel free to step in!).

The Speedcurb camera is very rare at the moment and they are also known as "Monitron" or "Tri-eye" cameras. Due to the fact that they operate with two sets of piezo strips in the road surface rather than radar or laser emissions, you will need a GPS system in order to detect them.

Damn right, the breeding program at the policing from profit company seems to be doing quite well out of it.

Piezo strips? Those black hose pipe things? I've never seen any of those near one of them.

They cut the strips into the tarmac I think?! Just like the ones you see at traffic lights.
