Just fitted my new philips power extreme bulbs this evening - had the front end off and gave it all a good clean down....
Turned the ignition on and straight away I could see the brighter light on the back of my car down the drive. I went for a little ride and noticed that the light was hitting the bottom of the bumper of the car in front of me (from about 8-10 feet away). When the standard bulbs were in, the light shined on the numberplate/boot lid (on most hatchbacks)... I had a tinker with the 2 little bronze/gold ish colour 8mm bolts and couldn't see the beam getting higher or lower. How do I adjust the beam? bright bulbs are great but they need to be pointing the right height for them to do their job properly ![]() also, I put the full beam on and stood about 30feet in front of my bike - the lights didn't look blindingly bright unless I squated right down

- are the bulbs correctly inserted?
- is the retaining clip correctly located? - did you put the front end back on straight? you can adjust the beam by turning the bolts near the top of the hole left by removing the little flap on the side of the bikini fairing, or at least that's how mine adjust

If it's that far out it sounds more than adjustment.
R U sure the bulb/s went in square & that the holder clipped home fully. As you're aware I know nowt about those pointed ( or faired ) things. Or has some bu66er let your front tyre down? Did you get another shot of the sky when you got home - impressive! Last edited by punyXpress; 03-07-08 at 07:55 PM. Reason: Added to |
