Default Derestricting.

Right, I know this has been covered but I need a good consice thread to help me derestrict my SV on friday. Now, I think its the washers that are restricting my bike (its an F.I. kit) so does anyone have pictures and a walkthrough of how to get them out?

The guide on the main site is for the other method of restriction I think, I don;t have other parts for my bike like that guide suggests I should have so Alfs Motorcycles must have just stuck in washres, or they stole parts of my bike...

Thanks everyone,

Matt

Take the tank off, take the airbox off, get yer carbs off and they're in a little black clip sort of thing in between the carbs at the top of the engine matey.

I'll come and watch you do them when I get a regulator for me bike if you like? Or you can come up ere...

you are more than welcome to come along to brighton on friday if you want!

I'll be doing it at my dads work, along with valve clearances

How to de-restrict a Mk1 SV is on the front page in the FAQ's section. There are some very in-depth pictures provided.

Don't worry...even 2-up with a topbox, 33 bhp can still let you keep up

Thats not the restriction kit I have - I have the washers, I must have, else the bike shop that restricted it for me would have returned any parts they replaced. I think I can use those pictures to guide me through though, ta
