Default Oxford indicator replacement bulbs?

Hi guys,

One of my bulbs has just blown in my Oxford indicator, and I've been trying to get a replacement, but bugger me if I can!

The writing on the bulb reads:

Michiba 12V 21W (pretty obvious)
E13 2D3.

I assume the "E13 2D3" is the 'fitting'/size style, but I can't find any bulbs anywhere that seem to have these numbers?!

Anyone had any experience, or can I just get a normal 12V 21W bulb that looks like it'll fit?

Cheers,

Al.

Phoned Oxford - "you can get a replacement bulb at any one of our registered stockists"....

Grr.

Can find no head or tail of these bulbs anywhere!

Never mind.

Are they not the common bayonet type 12v 21w indicator bulbs you can get at any car shop?

Bayonette yes, but they're straight (similar to festoon bulbs) as opposed to bulge... And they have offset securing pins.

Popped to halfords and examined all their range (OSRAM, Bosch, own brand) all to no avail.

Guess I'll have to bite the bullet with the Oxford ones!

'twould appear the E13 2D3 is the certification code not the fitting style. E13 apparently does not assure the same quality standards as the others, according to Phillips anyway.

Could it be a H21W you're after, as shown in this pdf . Is it 9mm diameter?

I tried to find some a while back and failed. But you'll probably find that all the shine will fall off the reflector and the plastic will go brittle soon anyway, with mini indicators it's best to just think of them as disposable I think.

Try somewhere like Motorsave or any other small auto shop, they are readily available!
