FOR SALE: SV650S '99 curvy.

Hi all,

I don't really want to do but I should sell my SV650S since someone else can ride it as I am technically Banned.
I have had a seizure here in Finland and the doctor has diagonised myself with epilepsy so to comply with UK law I have to be seizure free for 12 months before riding again.

It will be for sale now but I would be back in August 16th so if someone really wants it now I can get my father and brother sell it on my behalf.

major service done in December/January at Bridge motorcycles including; valves adjusted, coolant change, spark plugs, brake fluid, oil and filter change and the other usuals.
New rear tyre about 1000miles ago, done in APRIL. Metzeler Z6 last around 6000miles on this bike.
It is still restricted but those can be removed.
It also included Haynes manual and oil for the next oil change.
It has a quill exhaust (does not increase insurance at all!) Road legal and goes through mot. It is not loud!
It has a double bubble screen also.
I also have all the original bits such as exhaust and screen.
Previous owners are Clunk and Jo in Plymouth.

Every few thousand miles I change the oil and filter myself (I study mechanical engineering)) as I use semi-synthetic oil as it has a wet clutch. It is recommened to change the oil regulary with semi rather than use fully synthetic.

It has had one problem and that was the reg/rectifier expire but that is a usual SV650S problem and a majority fail. This has been replaced by an upgraded one from SVR ASH on this site and works fine.

Due to regular maintaince from previous owners and myself the bike is mechanically sound. It has been used on one trackday but it was warmed up prior to every session. Rear seat cowel is scratched due to myself not double clicking it on and then going for a ride,(see pic) I have passeger seat too!
It is a 9 year old bike so it has minor scratches here and there from use so don't expect showroom condition of an 08 plate bike. It was actually going in for the seat cowel and hugger to be sprayed in August but I am sure the next owner can make a decision or spray it themselves.

It is very reliable and pulls really well, however it has one large power band but that is the nature of v-twins!

If you have a restricted license this is ideal for you as the law states it must produce no more than 25KW (33bhp) there is no requirement to have to have a certificate etc but I still do as I paid £200 for the FI international restrictor kit.

Price: To be fair I would say around £1650 o.n.o. as it has major service and restricted etc.

I am willing to PX for a foldable pedal cycle and/or discount megarider bus pass. No PX for a bike for obvious reasons!

sorry to hear you're having to sell it, my grandad had a similar thing, the year flew by and he was back on the road. don't go forgetting the .org is still here, just cos you won't be riding for a while!!

I hope the year flies by! The main reason for selling is that I would be tempted to ride it if it was still in the garage. Thanks for the reply and I won't forget the .org! It is a good bike for someone who has started riding.
