Default The joys of Ducati ownership

So we set out from Bury, north towards the Trough of Bowland with the intention of going to Windemere.

Stunning weather...

Amazing quiet roads...

And catastrophic electrical failure!

There isn't much worse than being stranded at the side of a beautiful road with a bike that won't go.

I got home on my SV, he got back in a recovery van. Breakdown cover eh... worth every penny.

Turns out it wasn't as catastrophic as first thought. The recovery bloke reckons it's a knackered battery so a relatively cheap fix.

Aye... How long since last run? Leaving them around too often tends to kill them. Also 1000 V-twins (I guess it is the 916-998?) take a lot of cranking juice!

Yeah, there's a guy called ferret who does loom replacements with all OEM connectors that actually last more than 10minutes, he does all other marques too.

What's the point of ducs though? They're still tarty.
