Default The zorst has to go!

Right its nearing the end of the month and with that brings pay day, in turn bringing me toys!!! So i'm now making up my mind which exhaust is going to be taking the place of the rocket i've got at the mo.

I'll Post up 3 of my favourites but one is leading the running

Number One is my personal favourite because of price and looks. Its the Yoshimura R55 in S/S. I've found a place in america selling them for £270 delivered, now am i (if i go this route) going to get stung for alot of import tax or is the saving out weighing that?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=370075494620

Number Two is the Akrapovic HEX (seriously considering this can). I haven't looked properly yet but probably looking at £460 for this exhaust I know its alot!!

Number Three is the Racefit Growler, Looks cool and is suppose to sound great, but isnt road legal so is abit risky and costs £499 just for a slip-on.

If any of you have seen any of these exhausts cheaper anywhere or have any input on them please share your wisdom!!!

Poll added too cus we all like a good poll!!!!

Cheers Rich

I think the race growler looks the nicest but the first one is a lot cheaper and still looks great. Although I poll voted the Growler I reckon the Yoshimura is what you should go for.

Yeh im on there but don't post much. I know it's antisocial but it looks soo cool. I think it could be 500 wasted pounds as the woozles would probably have something to say about the noise!!

The Akrapovic is too big for a gsxr. Don't like the coloured link pipe on the Growler and the hanger is HUGE!
I'd go for the yoshi but in a dull metal if available, like titanium. But that's just because I don't like shiny bits

If you're seriously considering that Akra you have to be considering the Yoshi R-77, no?

The Akra sits at a weird funny angle, see the pic - it needs to point more upwards and the can needs to be further towards the engine, the hanger is too near the link pipe. In fact, it needs to look like a Yoshi R-77

See kwak's GSX-R600 K7 test ride thread for a pic of mine on the bike - in CF but also available in titanium or SS.

Btw I seriously considered the Growler but rejected it, partly based on cost, but more based on the fact they don't seem to bother dyno testing their designs. I'm not bothered about not making any more HP, but the risk of making the bike less rideable, or losing HP, bothered me, especially when added to the cost (R-77 was £250 but I picked it up ).
