Default Longest lasting?

What are the longest lasting chain and sprockets? Don't want to be spending too much, also dont mind if its standard gearing or not?

Any experiences? Also recommend me a good set of front brake pads

X-Ring for a start, and the life of your chain and sprockets will probably be doubled near enough if you get a scottoiler or similar automatic lubing device. DID, Tsubaki...steel sprockets.

Brake pads - Can't recommend any, I just get standard EBC Organic numbers and use the engine for the rest of the braking requirements. :P

If you want long chain / sprocket life then get a scottoiler. They really do work and extend chain life massively. My c/s currently on 16K and have not needed to be adjusted yet even. Constant lubrication is the key to long life.

I bought a DID X ring chain and JT Carbon Steel Sprockets from B and C express , fitted them myself and along with the Scottoiler I haven`t adjusted it once and that was 3 months ago . I do around 600 miles a month , maybe more in warmer weather and the Scottoiler is the key to long life as others have stated .

It's more to do with the owner than the parts tbh, any chain with steel sprockets will last well if well cared for or badly if not at the end of the day.

I always had best luck, cost per mile with oem suzuki sprockets and DID o-ring chain

with a scottoiler, and zero maintenance on my part, I averaged 35,000 per set, front sprocket would always be the first to wear
