Because I haven't quite got all the required legal bits for my black SV yet,(Rictus delivered a gear lever last night) I went and got a new tyre for Suzy yesterday.
I am going over to Squires this afternoon maybe be there about 3.
I have to scrub the tyre and get a new helmet as the one i've got got bounced with my head in it on tuesday.
I'm a little nervous, as I found taking Suzy down to the tyre place yesterday, and my usual confident riding is kinda out of the window.......so
If you are heading that way this aft or were thinking about it, if you see me please come and say hello as I'm crapping myself... it has to be done, getting on the bike, shame its on my own

Its not so great getting back on after an accident. just try to stay calm and you will be back in the swing of things before you know it.

Id come on out to play, ive fallen in love with my bike again since I changed the spark plugs (I found a cap and a spark plug wasnt working, good job its 2 spark plugs per cylinder. Feels even better now, also starts dead easy.)... but im working till 8pm.

BAH. Have a good time out and about Dizzy. BTW whats your actual name?

my bike has its parts ordered, looks like she'll be home in around two weeks. I took my pot off today & tried to drive the car, couldnt even push the gear lever in 1st! left arm is a weak as a kitten, can barely lift a wine glass! Went to my sign language course on Friday afternoon, and got great laughs from the other guys watching me signing with a bloody great pot on my arm! managed pretty ok till I signed Post Office (bang left fist on right palm) Ouch!!

yay, just as i was thinking of getting out of my pyjamas, Melody called to see how Im Indoors was. She didn't know I'd had a bit of a slide down the road, and she was free, so didn't mind accompanying me over
I'm glad it was Mel that saved the day. I was very wobbly til i got on the motorway to meet her in castleford. Her big smile made me feel betterer
We got my new lid, had an ice cream, sat in the hot sunshine and came home. I felt very comfortable on the way back, until I got into lightcliffe and Suzy reminded me she has a poorly engine...could here the cam chain knocking about, but my oh my was she like an old friend today. Theres only one bwwwwoooooaaaargh that makes me chuckle...specially when she goes a bit bang when you down gear
Still need some more scrubbing on the tyre..

I was up that way too, as it happens - went up to BigDs for breakfast (which due to a lack of proper navigation, turned into lunch) then went who knows where and ended up in Keighley - best ride I've had since the massacre.

Glad you are feeling better! If the weather is worth anything Wednesday we shall have to get a few people out, maybe to Squires though I dont mind where tbh.

Not seen Melody for a while Youll have to come out too!

Quite feasible - I gave up trying to work out where I was when they changed from tin reflective signs to cast iron

Well done getting back on it Dizz. Its all in the mind isn't it. Hope the aching bones are ok and you are feeling fit and back on it.
As I mentioned previously, I have now fitted my grubby bike with a limiter. She's two years younger than me and works perfectly almost all the time
