Default Protest against bike parking fees 28/09

Got a flier on my bike the other day about a protest happening Sunday the 28th September (10:30 Hanover Square W1) against Westminster's motorbike parking fees.

There's a website http://www.notobikeparkingfees.com with some more info ... the forum part of it.

If they can provide security and space, I'm all for it. As long as the price is right.

You may want to post this in the Soho Massive section too.

In the gleaming light of the PR release some bays were to be made chargeable to fund added security, additional bays would be provided etc. In the cold light of day the security has by and large failed to appear, as have the extra bike bays, but the charging is up and running.

Westminster council are not exactly known for employing "people skills"

As I suspected. Those councillors deserve a savage beating to remind them they're supposed to be serving the public.

Would love to go on this demo, but unfortunately can't make the 28th. Hopefully they'll get a really good turnout for it.

Well i'm pleased for you if thats your opinion but living in Wales i guess you have no idea of how unwelcome this is here in London.

For those of you who are interested in this protest the please see this thread http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=116501 for the full background to it.

I hope to be able to make it, trying to keep the day free.
