Default What's it worth? I may trade up!

Evening Org.

My SV is spot on, but its perhaps not fast enough (especially against brutal cars on private roads at higher speeds). So I was wondering what its worth to sell as most of the dealers have gone 0% crazy until december.

How much do the mighty org think I'll get for the following bits? I was going to trade the bike and sell the rest on flea bay.

Suzuki SV650 Sport in blue 07 plate 5.5K miles returned to standard with
R&G Bungs and tail tidy fitted with 1000 mile old BT021's.

Fuel Stainless oval exhaust
HeliBars
Hot Grips already fitted to a suzuki SV throttle tube
Fabbri Double bubble (MRA)
Nitron Sport Shock
Gel Seat

Incidentally I was thinking about buying an FZ1 if anyone has any experience of one i'd like to hear about it.

Cheers.

Bike might go for £3200. other bits you might get £400 for the rest so looking at maybe £4000 for the lot.

Id advise getting a Falco. They are dirt cheap and there are lots of people mentioned that they prefer the falco over the Fazer thou. I think performance is similar but the Falco is much lighter.

What "Brutal cars" are you racing anyway? I followed a Scoobie upto 120 indicated and I wasnt at full throttle, it was slow! I also followed a ferarri spider on the same piece of road with the same effect. The SV runs out at about 135 indicated... 125MPH real world.

It was more acceleration than anything else. Two up as well. My friend has an Z4M Coupe and to be honest its faster on private roads over 80 mph, and later i went to pass a tvr on the dual carraigeway and he just left me (admittedly he was being a tosser and slowing down till i tried to pass).

I can't risk a falco as there is no real dealer network in newcastle and apparently it can be pot luck if you get a good one.

I'll be impressd if i can make that much cash form selling bits. It will certainly sweeten the deal!!

and PAWS i'm sure you have a 675 trumpet so Speed must mean something to you

sounds like you need a GSX-R1000 with colour matched leathers, this season's Rossi rep lid and a garage that mysteriously refuses to open when the weather gets cold

nope not at all, in all honestly i wish id kept me old sv , im not a fast rider (as proven when i let my fella on his zx10 and our mate on r1 go ahead on a ride on sunday-i was quite happy to plod along and meet them at the cafe) and never will be I dont use the daytona to her full ability on the road (you cant tbh), hence why come next year i'll be saving up for trackdays-thats what she was built for, anyone can "go fast"-learning to handle and respect the bike is what matters

Ha, no its nothing like that. He did have bit of a run up when he past me in the beemer (we were travelling in a straight line) so I went for it but the bike just didn't pick up as fast as I would like. Perhaps i'm just being picky and expecting too much from a little 70 hp bike with 2 people on it.

I'm not a fair weather rider and i'm not really slow ( i can even go round corners) I just felt It could do with a little more straight line oomph. I caught and passed him within seconds as its impossible to overtake cars in that thing as you cant see out of it. I just felt bad that he managed to pass me

I would love a GSXR 1000 though..

You really wish you'd kept the SV paws?
are the triumphs really hard worK?

Are you planning on nackering a Falco? if you drop it then fill the fairing and paint it I know ive done it recently.

www.apriliayorkshire.co.uk

Thats the aprilia friend if you really need something, Ebay is good for a lot of others, a lot of RSV bits are interchangable so that helps. A good indipendant can do a major service for you and a minor is dead easy to do.

You cant really go wrong with the Falco, the reliability and finish is brilliant.

Upto you though

A friend has a Fazer and likes it. They seem nice bikes, push 120-125BHP out of the rear wheel so plenty of poke.

I suppose i should get on some trackdays really and learn even more and Greek I think that dealer is still a bit far afield. Basically where I live I have the choice of the following dealers. KTM, Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki and triumph.

I was interested in the fazer though as yamaha are doing amazing finance deals at the moment with 3.5 years 0% on pretty much their entire range.
