Default Fitting full exhaust system with minimal disassembly

Hi all,
I have bought what looks to be a full akrapovic system (for the price I'm not bothered if it isn't) and was wondering what I'm going to need to take off to fit it, I don't currently even have a paddock stand so I'm going to need to get one of those I guess, any other suggestions as to what equipment I'd need and what I would need to do?

Thanks

The exhaust system can be removed almost entirely on the side stand. I believe you'll need a paddock stand / NWS / Abba stand to remove the rear wheel to get the header bolts off the rear cylinder though.

Push come to shove, if you use a cable tie on the front brake, and a jack and bit of wood on the rear right engine case, you can apparently jack the bike up so it's resting on the front wheel, jack and side stand and remove the rear wheel that way. When I was re-greasing the swing arm, I used 2 axel stands under the pillion foot pegs to hold the rear up, but that was on a curvy.

Oh cool, that sounds simpler than I'd hoped/realised after I'd hit buy it now hehe
Gives me a good reason to get a paddock stand, I've been needing one for a while.

Thanks for the advice

I did mine without removing the back wheel. I used a sawn off allen key in a socket on an extender with a universal joint. Top tip is to liberally soak everything in WD40 for a few days before trying to remove stuff.

Post a picture and I can confirm.

As already mentioned you can do it all with the bike on its sidestand. The Akrapovic replaces the rear header, to make it easier a rear paddock stand would help so you can remove the rear wheel.

I may get laughed off the forum but I thought it was a bargain and suitable for my purposes. sadly thats the only pic so far and yes I had seen the huge dent in the bottom, hoping I can tidy that up a little. maybe replace the can eventually, just got no cash. I have ordered a paddock stand though as it will be useful for so many other things £23.99 for a biketek one with hooks delivered, I thought that a bit of a bargain.

should of gone to M&P for both stands and a handy adjustable seat was only £45 delivered.

And get some stainless steel bolts in there. M6 x 25mm and 35mm is what i've got on my exhaust headers and joints.

Yeah I got that bit from the logo, I'm just not sure about if it's full or slip on with stock pipework. Will see when it turns up. Thanks for the replies
