Hi,
Just wanted to see what people thought of this situation? got home last night to find the cover had been pulled off my other halfs bike and mine had been tucked under the number plate at the back and over the disk lock at the front. Doesn't look like they have done anything else... do you think they are coming back for them?? They are outside the front of our house- both with disk locks on and chained together- not much else we can do as we don't have a garage... Just a bit worried and wondered what people thought? Thanks ![]() |

Could it have been the wind? I've got a cheapo cover from Infinity Motorcycles that likes to tuck itself under my plate when not secured down properly in high wind.

I thought that to start with but they tie underneath the bikes and the string had been removed from the cover and was a couple of meters away so don't think it was the wind...

I have exactly the same worry as you mate, what I do though is chain it to the nearest lampost. Another thing I though of doing was getting one of those sensor lights and linking it to some kind of small alarm in my bedroom so that if anyone tried to get near my bike it would alert me, however this idea has a lot of problems such as cats and milk/postman!
EDIT: If they were professional thieves, I would have thought that they would have put everything back the way it was so as not to alert you in advance. Last edited by AndyL; 22-10-08 at 09:06 AM. |

I use an almax series 4 chain to lock it to a lampost, I dont think anyone is going to cut through a lampost (or they will get a big shock, litterally! lol).

Sadly there's no lamppost nearby otherwise that would be a good call, like 454697819's idea of the bucket or tub of concrete tho!

chain bike to bike too. Front to rear, rear to front, yin yan style maybe?
Or just get Paul the 6th to lie in wait in his 'bungle bear' costume..to scare little scumbags away!
