I hope so. I've got someone who's gonna ring me when they're done so I can put the telly on see him accept the presidency.

And I hope the queues don't cause any problems with polls closing before people have cast their vote. It looks unlikely to affect the outcome, but it would be another blow to democracy.

AFAIK, if you're in the queue when the polls close, the polling station HAS to let you vote.

It'll be nice to hear the end of the speculation, that's for sure.

being able to vote is nice but at the same time sort of worthless nowadays , keep in mind this is only a popularity vote and the electoral college gets the last say no matter how many votes one gets.

I no longer vote because i get to pay more taxes and higher gas prices no matter who wins .

I hope he does tbh. He does seem the better of the two imo.

You're right i hope he wins too , it's definitely time for a change but at the same time, only time will tell what sort of changes , then again you won't have to deal with those changes as most of us will (here in the US).

Every politician so far always promised you anything you want to hear as long as they get into Office and then turned around and suddenly my Property Taxes soared , Income taxes Soared , our Economy is so messed up it will take a hell of a lot longer than 2 terms for any president to make much of a difference in the modern day nightmare of war and foreign affairs witch in turn will dwindle down to money only to be made by more taxing BLAHH..

IMHO I don't think the economy of the US (or the rest of the free world) can take 4 more years of those **** republicans in the white house.

Clinton had surpluss budget at the end of his first 4 years....so yes....it can be turned around.
We had billions in surpluss when Clinton left office....now thanks to GWB....we are Trillions in debt.

And yes...after 7 years it's time to bring home all the soldiers in Iraq...a war that's esentially been over for 5+ years.
