No point using rubber.
You can make your own braided.

Don't know about standard but Hel and Goodridge offer custom length braided ones which will cost not much more depending on length.

![]() You're seriously mental to want rubber hoses! They will be hard to find, will cost more than braided and be knackered within 5 years. If you want them to look OEM, use black braid, or matching your bikes colour, or cover them in heatshrink sleeve.

The material of the hose does NOTHING to the power of the brakes unless your lever is coming back to the bar as it is now.
You are developing pressure in the line, slight expansion takes up volume but pressure is the same.

New rubber and new braided are the same, what braided offer is longevity because they don't start to bulge like rubber hoses.
There is no difference in power, a slight difference in feel through the lever and consistency is the main difference with braided lines. I've heard other peoples comments but to date I have never had an issues. Last edited by Dangerous Dave; 29-11-08 at 07:32 PM. Reason: Reply to Chris |

![]() Goodridge have a range called colour flex which (so you can have black if you want) with various other fittings they supply allow you to do anything you want. http://www.goodridge.net/uk/pdf/Good...alogue2007.pdf if you want lesser performance then leave some air in when you bleed ![]() |
