Talking Richie is ...

Happy that I've just fixed my Little Red "Pug Of Love" from the Evil knock knock knocking on acceleration, and cornering...
Only been bugging me for the last 30,000 miles.
Finally got round to changing the Drive shaft and CV joint...

Better late than never...

only cost £15 to do as well. Feels like a new Car now...

Outer CV joints for my old 4x4 are 78 quid a side. I think I'd be inclined to leave it knocking until it broke, then dump the car at the roadside with no number plates.

risking it all that time then mate. My lad had to be recovered when his CV disintegrated. you would have thought he would learn but then he killed 3 more in less than a year.

Heavy load, turbo and a heavy foot. Still worse was when the lower ball joint failed and the hub parted company from the lower suspension arm and wrapped itself under the wheel arch/bulkhead at 80 miles/hour

Was it a 306??
I had that issue too a few years ago. Put it off for ages. Would knock on acceleration when I turned left.

It was the claim that the car is like new again that I find hard to believe, I'm not doubting the fiscal claims

Considering your trade, that is quite appalling. You left it for 30,000 miles tut tut.
