Sitting here typing this as I enter week three of doing absolutely nothing at work, was there a mass slaughtering of architects while I was off at Xmas or something?
If it carries on like this I might have plenty of time to strip and rebuild the KTM, and swap out the suspension on the SV ![]()

We've been dead for weeks in work (gambling industry - IT support). But we're still hiring new people? They want 4 more people for my team, and I've been so bored since Christmas that it's hard to stay awake at work!
I keep asking to be sent home, and they keep saying no. ![]() Either 1) Someone got their rear moving & sorted out issues we've been complaining about (highly unlikely); 2) Everyone has stopped gambling (even less likely); or 3) our phones/email don't work!! |

you're telling me!!!
seems the demand for survey engineering services fell through the floor while i was in SA during december, although we've been asked to quote for a couple of jobs recently, we've put in prices below cost and still been undercut by a grand ![]() thank f*** i've been saving £lots per month for the last few years ![]()

its ok. thats all i'll describe it as. we've been busier, but have been quieter.
my biggest worry is customers paying their bills. hearing too many people saying "gotta be honest, we just aint got the money coming in.." so its therefore a domino effect. their customers dont pay them, they dont pay us, we can't pay our suppliers... EDIT i took out unemployment cover on my mortgage last weekend, i have until 4th march to keep my job, thereafter it will kick in... Last edited by keithd; 20-01-09 at 11:32 AM. |
