Most of the other sections have a weekend away, so maybe we should too
![]() Kinda thinking meet Red Lodge-ish, bimble over to and around the Peak District, bunkhouse overnight, another bimble and home the next day. Discuss ![]()

Great idea Lissa, it would be nice to get about somewhere different on the bike......Now can we discuss ' How Mike can possibly get away to the Peak district for the weekend without upsetting the wife!!!!'

Good idea, some good roads and great scenery up in the Peak.

![]() Yeah, Snake Pass is my favourite, far better than the Cat and Fiddle I think. And a visit to Ladybower where the Dambusters had their practice runs is always good ![]()

Sounds like a great idea and I'd be well up for it.

If you do then you must go to The Peacock and The Moorlands......Two pubs on basically an amazing stretch of road that is very popular with bikes in the summer.
The over head view pretty much explains why..... http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&so...09377&t=h&z=17 There is some very good bunkhouses in Castle which would be an IDEAL place to stop over night, nice pub for food etc and in the middle of all the nice roads. http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&so...,0.150032&z=13 I would tag along thats for sure and could recommend some of the less mainstream roads ![]()

![]() But wimp on not coming to the start point! ![]() Yes, it would make a change for you not to have to travel a huge distance! ![]()
