Default Decisions decisions desicions

Just been offered a top box.but without the fixing bracket. I have a tail rack and could fit the top box on it with some "U" bolts. This would be instead of a tail pack but would mean unpacking the top box as against undoing/re-doing the tail pack each time.
I travel pretty light when we go away so either/or is adequate for my needs, just a matter of which looks better.

Whole point of a topbox/portapotty is you can take it off and take your gear with you just like a suitcase when travelling. Different if you are planning doing a bit of despatching!

Said my piece.

Yes, permanently fixing it doesn't sound like a very good option. Can you not get an adapter plate twixt OEM rack and box?

Fine things top boxes you can store your lid whilst wandering around.

If its a Triumph one they will I'm sure be able to sell you a fitting kit, if it works the same way as the 1050 then wander round and look at mine and see if you can get someone to make something up for you.

yeppers as pete says - u need an adapter plate bolted to your rack. Then u can take the box off and back on at your will.

You could bolt the box straight on but it will be a bit pants.
